Hanna’s Chocolates

SITE: Gateway Square Shopping Center is located off Hopyard Road in Pleasanton and has several restaurants and small businesses. The ground level store is an ideal location for the local community to visit and experience the products on display.

BRIEF: The chocolate-maker was looking for a space that supports the purveying and making of hand-made chocolates in the same area. Gelato, tea and coffee were also to be served.

DESIGN: The premier brick-and-mortar shop is also a manufactory where customers and guests are invited to see the making of artisanal chocolates, bon bons, and other hand-made confections that are created on the premises. The open plan layout has a large viewing window that looks onto the marble painting table. Custom floor and wall fixtures along with a vintage display for seasonal merchandising comprise the retail scheme. Modern classical decorative lights enliven the shop at all times of day.
