SITE: A single family townhouse in the MacDougal-Sullivan Historic Garden District of Soho.

BRIEF: The townhouse renovation had to accommodate a growing family and provide multiple areas for family gatherings.

DESIGN: The traditional townhouse layout was flipped to create garden-facing living and sleeping quarters for family members. A sculptural stair connects the floors. Private outdoor garden space flows into the shared neighborhood gardens.
